ABOUT THE SITE
The purpose of this site is to provide resources to new knitters who want to expand their skills and learn intermediate techniques. To manage the overwhelming number of resources available to knitters, this website focuses on four key intermediate areas, two fabric techniques and two project types: lace knitting, cable knitting, socks, and sweaters.

Knitters who will find this useful are those who are comfortable with fundamental skills, including casting on/off, the knit and purl stitches, and have completed a few basic projects, such as hats and scarves.
Happy Knitting!
ABOUT ME
Lauren Milner
Ever since my grandma taught me to sew as a young girl, I have loved crafting. I learned how to knit and crochet from a friend in high school but, as many in the crafting community can attest, I did not pick up knitting again until almost a decade later when I was in graduate school and looking for something to do in between historical research. Sadly, living in New Orleans did not give me many opportunities to wear the items I made. Luckily, I am now in the more knitting-friendly climes of DC.

Crafting, particularly fiber arts, is a community hobby. Through it you can learn new skills and make lifelong friends. I believe it is important that we support each other in our journey of accumulating our yarn stashes.
